GONZALEZ, David 49, of St. Petersburg died Jan. 31, 2013 after a sudden stroke. David was born in Lorain OH, moved to St. Petersburg, as a child and was a lifelong resident. David was a skilled and talented boat builder for Hutchins Com Pac Yachts for 25 years. His pride in craftmanship showed in his work. During his spare time David ran an internet game server thus making friends not only around the country but all over the world. David's kindness shone above all else. He was also an avid animal lover. He was often seen rescuing wayward turtles from the roadway and helping strays find loving homes. He was a huge fan of Epcot Center and enjoyed playing tourist, seeing the local sights and attractions. He enjoyed dining out, sampling new foods, home cooking and was a wine enthusiast. David is survived by his wife of 27 years, Virginia; 4 feline children; numerous close and dear friends, as well as assorted relatives in Ohio. David was predeceased by his parents, Manuel & Nereida Gonzalez as well as his sister, Daisy Gonzalez. A memorial service will be held Feb. 16th. Email for details vgonzalez2034@yahoo.com.
